Fatal Nashville shooting death of Keiona Wilson

Nashville police report the fatal shooting death of Keiona Wilson, a 42-year-old woman. Wilson was shot inside a residence on Scalf Drive.

Investigators indicate Wilson entered the property seeking her estranged husband, who was reportedly involved romantically with another woman. Wilson located his vehicle and maneuvered it to the front of the home.

According to police, Wilson knocked on the door, and the female occupant responded via a security camera system. A heated argument ensued between the two women through the speaker on the door. When Wilson attempted entry, the homeowner fired a shot at the storm door, though she did not appear to be hit.

Wilson managed entry into the dwelling. A physical altercation broke out between the two women. Police state a second shot was fired by the homeowner, striking Wilson in the abdomen.

Following the shooting, Wilson exited the premises and drove the husband’s vehicle for a short distance before stopping and requesting police assistance outside the Madison Precinct facility.

Wilson was transported to Skyline Medical Center but succumbed to her injuries. At this time, no charges have been filed as the ongoing investigation continues.
