Penny Bowling dies in fatal Eureka Springs hit-and-run
Fatal Eureka Springs hit-and-run death of Penny Bowling
According to a Monday news release from Arkansas State Police, 61-year-old Penny Bowling of Holiday Island has been identified as the individual killed in the hit-and-run incident that occurred early Saturday morning.
Arkansas State Police troopers were dispatched around 2:45 a.m. on Saturday after receiving reports of a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle on Arkansas 187, near Nightingale Road, which is north of Eureka Springs.
Penny Bowling was pronounced dead at approximately 3:30 a.m. by the Carroll County coroner.
Investigators believe the vehicle involved in the collision was a newer model, white Chevrolet pickup truck. Arkansas State Police are actively seeking public assistance to help locate both the suspect vehicle and its driver.
