The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department reported the identification of a 53-year-old man from Apple Valley. This individual, identified as Joe Dominguez II, met his demise in a recent collision. The incident occurred last week.

The fatal accident transpired around 8:40 p.m. on August 19th at the intersection of Dale Evans Parkway and Zuni Road. Coroner’s officials confirmed the details. Mr. Dominguez was operating a non-standard motorized shopping cart while moving north on Dale Evans Parkway. He encountered a collision from behind. The striking vehicle was a 2002 Mazda B-Series pickup truck. This truck was also heading northbound. Law enforcement was informed about the unusual vehicle involved. The pickup truck driver, a 49-year-old resident of Barstow, was present at the scene when authorities arrived.

Emergency medical services responded to the crash. They transported Mr. Dominguez to a nearby hospital for treatment. Regrettably, his injuries were severe and ultimately led to his death.
