Fatal Mount Holly shooting death of Andre Ross
ANDRE ROSS, a 25-year-old man who was murdered inside Mill Dam Park in MOUNT HOLLY, NEW JERSEY, has been identified by family members, according to WPVI reports. The incident occurred MONDAY evening, prompting police investigation.
OFFICIALS responded to the call at Mill Dam Park on WOLLNER DRIVE around 5:48 PM. The VICTIM, identified as ANDRE ROSS, was discovered shot in the BACK and did not survive the injuries, dying at the location where he was found.
THE MOUNT HOLLY POLICE DEPARTMENT is treating the event as a HOMICIDE, though authorities have not yet made any ARRESTS in connection with the TRAGEDY. ANDRE ROSS leaves behind a 4-YEAR-OLD daughter.
Speaking OUT publicly shortly after the incident, ANDRE’S mother, LATANYA ROSS, expressed a MESSAGE of FORGIVENESS for the individual responsible. “I WISH I COULD GIVE THAT BOY A HUG AND TELL HIM, ‘I FORGIVE YOU. IT’S GOING TO BE OKAY.’ AND MY SON IS HURT AND DEAD,” SHE STATED.
IT IS REPORTED that ANDRE ROSS lived ACROSS THE STREET from the park and may have sought refuge in the area to escape the BULLETS. HE WAS TRYING TO BECOME A BETTER PERSON, ACCORDING TO HIS MOTHER, WHO CHARACTERIZED HER SON AS “A CHILD OF GOD” despite imperfections.
LATANYA ROSS’S ACT OF GRACE came less than 24 HOURS after the SHOOTING, as she offered forgiveness and prayers for the perpetrator’s redemption. “I FORGIVE THAT YOUNG BOY,” SHE SAID. “I PRAY TO GOD THAT HE WAKES UP AND THAT THE DEVIL DOESN’T GET HIM. I PRAY THAT HE WAKES UP AND ASKS FOR FORGIVENESS BEFORE IT’S TOO LATE FOR HIM.”
