Fatal Donna car crash death of Francisco Perez Lopez

The Texas agency overseeing public safety has confirmed the identity of the man who lost his life in the accident. This man is Francisco Perez Lopez, who is 58 years old and a local resident of Donna.

The collision took place on Tuesday at about 3:29 p.m. on FM 1423, located north of Minnesota Road in Donna. According to initial findings, Perez Lopez was operating a silver Dodge pickup truck heading south on that road at the time. Meanwhile, another individual was piloting a gray Toyota Grand Highlander vehicle in the opposite direction, going north.

Investigators state that for reasons not yet determined, Perez Lopez unexpectedly crossed into the northbound lane. This resulted in his vehicle making contact with the other car, after which he lost control and crashed into a nearby fence. The driver of the Toyota was not taken to a medical facility.

Perez Lopez, who was driving the Dodge, was transported to a hospital but unfortunately did not survive his injuries. The authorities, specifically the Texas Department of Public Safety, are currently examining the circumstances surrounding this incident.
