JACINTA RILEY DIES IN FATAL LOUISVILLE CAR CRASH

Fatal Louisville car crash death of Jacinta Riley

The Jefferson County Coroner’s office has officially identified the person who lost her life. Jacinta Riley, 41, passed away at University of Louisville Hospital shortly after 9 p.m. on September 20.

Emergency services were dispatched at approximately 8:30 p.m. regarding a traffic incident in the 4500 block of West Broadway, explained Sgt. Matt Sanders, a representative from Louisville Metro Police. The situation was initially reported as involving a solitary vehicle with occupants requiring assistance.

According to investigators, the driver, confirmed to be Riley, was proceeding westbound on Broadway when they veered off the road on the right side and collided with a tree. Sgt. Sanders stated the vehicle subsequently turned over onto its side. Rescue teams had to perform vehicle extraction before transporting Riley to the hospital.

Riley was pronounced deceased upon arrival at the medical facility.
