Fatal Grand Junction, Colorado car crash death of Joseph Mendez and Angell Quintero

The official identification of the two people killed in separate vehicular accidents during the latter part of the week has been announced by the Mesa County Coroner’s Office. The deceased individuals are identified as Joseph Mendez, aged thirty, and Angell Quintero, aged twenty-six.

The first incident occurred on the morning of Saturday, September 20th. Mendez was behind the wheel of a vehicle that was discovered submerged in a drainage canal situated off Horizon Drive. An official report from the Coroner’s Office notes that Mendez was not secured by a seatbelt at the time of the accident.

The second fatality happened the following day, Sunday, September 21st. Quintero, operating a motorcycle, lost control and subsequently collided with a residence located at the intersection of 33 Road and E 1/4 Rd. Both Mendez and Quintero succumbed to their injuries immediately following the accidents, without any medical intervention being required.
