Law enforcement units were dispatched to the scene after receiving reports of a collision involving injuries on Pineville-Matthews Road close to Park Cedar Drive. According to Charlotte authorities, the incident occurred early in the week on the 23rd of September at approximately 4:50 in the afternoon. Upon arrival, responders encountered two motor vehicles involved in the accident. One vehicle, a Nissan Xterra, was badly damaged. The occupants of the other car, a Honda Civic, were also affected by the collision.

Emergency personnel located the driver of the Nissan Xterra. Medical examiners noted that this individual suffered only minor injuries, which did not require hospitalization. However, officials stated that the operator of the Honda Civic, identified as the 26-year-old Kenneth Earle, sustained serious, life-threatening trauma. Tragically, medical responders confirmed that Earle had passed away at the accident location.

Investigators reported that Earle was driving his Honda Civic in a northeast direction on Pineville-Matthews Road when he apparently crossed into the path of oncoming traffic. This resulted in a direct impact with the Nissan Xterra, leading to the fatal outcome.
