The Texas Department of Public Safety has confirmed the identities of the two individuals who lost their lives in the serious accident on Interstate 35 earlier that day. The victims are Kyle Baily Jones, who was 26 years old and from Natalia, and Fernando Espinosa, aged 54, residing in Dilley.

Further details indicate that the two men were passengers in a white 2011 Ford pickup truck. This vehicle collided with the rear of a commercial motor vehicle around 3:52 p.m. Both vehicles subsequently ignited in flames. The pickup truck was entirely consumed by the fire, while the trailer section of the larger truck also experienced combustion. Fortunately, the operator of the commercial vehicle suffered only minor injuries.
