A significant accident on Tuesday morning claimed the lives of two individuals in Acton. The incident, occurring around 6:20 a.m. on Sierra Highway adjacent to Crown Valley Road, resulted in the death of one person and injuries to three others. Local reports confirm that M. Calzada, a resident of Canyon Country, was the driver involved in a severe head-on collision. According to available information, Calzada lost control of his black Infiniti Q50 and veered into oncoming traffic, leading to the devastating crash. The other vehicle, a blue Honda Odyssey, was being operated by S. Hernandez-Trinidad from Santa Clarita, who was also injured. This collision proved fatal for Calzada and his passenger, P. Gomez, who was in the front seat of the Infiniti. Another passenger, G. Gonzalez, aged 22, also from Canyon Country, suffered serious harm. Police authorities stated that neither Calzada nor Gonzalez were secured in seatbelts during the incident. The California Highway Patrol Antelope Valley division is conducting a thorough investigation into these events.
