Fatal Novi, Mich. car crash deaths of Neena Wang and Sylvette Campbell

Law enforcement agencies have verified the identities of the two persons who perished in a destructive collision on I-96 during the early part of Tuesday morning.

The mishap transpired approximately two hours into Tuesday at dawn on I-96, near Beck Road, and led to the highway remaining closed for a sustained period as investigators pursued their examination.

According to representatives from the city of Novi, both motor vehicles were proceeding in the eastern direction on I-96. The first car, which was an Acura, sustained a malfunction with its driver-side tire. This caused the operator to stop momentarily in the left lane. Following that, a Kia automobile collided from the rear, initiating a blaze that ultimately caused the demise of both drivers.

Municipal officials disclosed that the individual controlling the Acura was thirty-year-old Neena Wang, who is from California. The Kia driver was confirmed as fifty-seven-year-old Sylvette Campbell, originating from Westland. No other individuals were occupying the vehicles besides the drivers, and there were no additional injuries reported.

Local law enforcement in Novi and state troopers from Michigan conducted an investigation into the accident.
