Fatal Apple Valley car crash death of Ulises Dominguez
A man died after a two-vehicle accident on Saturday night near Kiowa Road and Kiowa Place in Apple Valley, authorities confirmed. The deceased has been identified as Ulises Dominguez, a 44-year-old from Apple Valley.
The incident happened at approximately 11:36 p.m. on September 20. According to preliminary findings, a 23-year-old man named Exon Herrera Hernandez, driving a white Nissan Altima from Apple Valley, rear-ended the vehicle that Dominguez was operating, a white Hummer H2.
The force of the collision caused the Hummer to flip and exit the road. Both Dominguez and his 22-year-old passenger from Victorville, Salvador Rubio Tamayo, were taken to the hospital via ambulance due to the severity of their injuries.
Regrettably, Ulises Dominguez did not survive his injuries, despite medical attention. His passenger, however, was reported to be in a stable condition.
Investigators have concluded that Exon Herrera Hernandez was legally intoxicated at the time of the accident. Kiowa Road was shut down for roughly seven hours to allow for thorough examination of the scene.
