The Nueces County Medical Examiner’s Office has officially identified the two individuals killed in a collision on Old Brownsville Road that occurred at the beginning of the week.
Both victims, identified as 22-year-old Annstaisa Rabe and 21-year-old Uballie Gutierrez, were pronounced dead at the scene following the Monday incident.
Corpus Christi Police Department officials have informed that the family members of the deceased have been notified about the tragic event.
According to statements from Officer Madeline Vaughn of the police department, preliminary reports from the investigating team indicate that the involved sport utility vehicle was moving in the southbound direction when it suddenly veered off its path. It is believed the vehicle hydroplaned and crossed into the northbound lane, subsequently colliding with a dump truck.

Additionally, a young passenger, who was a teenager inside the sport utility vehicle, received medical attention. However, their injuries are described as significant but not life-threatening.
