Emmanuel Mercado dies in fatal Willowbrook car crash

Fatal Willowbrook car crash death of Emmanuel Mercado

A 40-year-old male was operating a motorcycle when he was involved in a collision close to the Willowbrook area on Thursday. The Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office officially confirmed his identity as Emmanuel Mercado.

California Highway Patrol personnel arrived at the accident site at 12:18 a.m. on Wednesday for the junction involving the northbound Harbor Freeway and the eastbound Glenn Anderson Freeway, as stated by CHP Officer Elizabeth Kravig.

Emergency medical services workers present at the scene announced that the individual was deceased there at that time.

Kravig mentioned that the CHP activated a SigAlert, resulting in the complete stoppage of all traffic lanes on the connecting route from the northbound 110 freeway to the eastbound 105 freeway. This action was taken as authorities examined the reasons behind the mishap.
