Fatal Perry County car crash death of Donald Bernard

A collision occurred on Saturday afternoon in Perry County, involving two motor vehicles. The incident took place around 3:40 p.m. on Chapel Hill Road, positioned near state Route 13 within the Monroe Township area. According to reports from the Ohio State Patrol, preliminary findings indicate that one car was traveling eastbound on Chapel Hill Road while the other was moving in the opposite direction. The second car crossed into the opposing lane and collided with the first vehicle, causing it to depart the road onto its right side. The operator of the car that crossed the center line was identified as a 32-year-old man named Donald Bernard from Corning. Tragically, Mr. Bernard was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the other vehicle, a 2007 Nissan Altima, received substantial injuries and was transported by helicopter to Grant Medical Center, where their health is currently reported as stable. The involved crash is being examined by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
