The Georgia Bureau of Investigation officially identified the individuals involved in the Saturday morning fatal shooting. The suspect, identified as 31-year-old Zachary Taylor Brown-Earnest from Ashburn, is currently facing multiple charges. The victim was identified as 35-year-old Sinclair Wynn, who resided in Sycamore, Georgia.
Law enforcement was notified around 12:55 a.m. concerning a disturbance at a residence located in the 300 block of West End Street. Ashburn Police requested GBI assistance approximately 50 minutes later due to the nature of the incident. According to the GBI, a social gathering had occurred at the residence prior to the unfortunate event.
During the course of this gathering, an altercation developed between Brown-Earnest and Wynn. The investigation revealed that Brown-Earnest was the shooter involved in this conflict. Following the shooting, Wynn reportedly sought refuge by heading towards his vehicle. Tragically, upon reaching his car, Wynn’s injuries proved fatal.
Medical examiners confirmed Wynn’s death occurred at the scene before emergency responders’ arrival. The charges Brown-Earnest faces include murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a weapon during the commission of a felony.
