Fatal Palmdale car crash death of Danny Montoya

A 21-year-old individual was discovered deceased on the Antelope Valley Freeway in Palmdale on Saturday, located roughly thirty yards from a multi-vehicle automobile accident.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision was noted at 4:36 a.m. on Saturday on the Antelope Valley Freeway, positioned just south of East Palmdale Boulevard.

A witness informed the CHP that a blue Honda Civic was obstructing the No. 1 lane, a white Tesla was positioned within the central divider, and a white charter bus was directed onto the right shoulder subsequent to the crash.

Initially, no one was reported to be injured in the incident, until the body of the deceased was found lying in the No. 1 lane, as stated by the authorities.

Danny Montoya was identified as the person who lost their life, as per the Medical Examiner’s office records.

Further details regarding the cause of the collision were not provided by the CHP at this time. In response, the CHP halted all northbound traffic on the freeway and contacted Caltrans to establish a temporary closure for the duration of the ongoing investigation. Measures were taken to reroute traffic away from the affected freeway at Avenue S.
