Jessica Williams dies in fatal New Orleans shooting

Fatal New Orleans shooting death of Jessica Williams

The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office has identified the deceased as Jessica Williams, aged 33. She succumbed to her serious injuries.

Orleans Sheriff Anne Kirkpatrick confirmed that three casualties of the incident were discovered near the point of impact on Bourbon Street. A separate individual, a woman, was located further away, at the Canal Street and St. Charles Avenue junction.

Ms. Kirkpatrick characterized Williams as an unfortunate bystander, an out-of-town visitor from Chicago who was there to celebrate her birthday.

Police have pinpointed two suspects of interest, initially identified as two women and one man wearing a white hat and shirt. These individuals have been located and spoken to by authorities.

Despite this development, law enforcement is continuing its search for a second man, described as being clad in a black and white hoodie, whom they suspect may be the primary suspect. This search was initiated following the deadly Bourbon Street incident, which occurred just after 2 a.m. on Sunday.
