Fatal Toledo shooting death of Jasmine Queen

A Toledo woman has died following an early morning shooting at a business complex in the city’s southern region. The incident began after a celebration or social gathering at The Weekend restaurant and lounge overflowed into the adjacent parking area.

Police were dispatched to 4 South Reynolds Road shortly before 3 a.m. concerning a shooting. This location is situated at the convergence of Hill Avenue and Reynolds Road, near a commercial plaza. The Toledo Police Department confirmed the gunfire originated from an event at The Weekend, extending into the plaza’s parking structure.

Three individuals sustained injuries from the gunfire. One of these victims, identified as 19-year-old Jasmine Queen, was reported to have suffered at least one bullet wound. Initial medical treatment was administered at the scene, but she was transported to a hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries. The Toledo Police Department has initiated a homicide investigation into Queen’s death.

The other two injured individuals are young adults, police estimates suggest approximately 19 or 20 years of age. Details about their identities or the extent of their injuries have not been disclosed by authorities. Law enforcement has indicated they are expected to make a full recovery.

Multiple cars in the parking lot sustained damage from the bullets. The crime scene remained active until Sunday morning. Toledo Police Detective Lt.
