Fatal Clackamas County car crash death of Charles Roger Shook and Rose Ann Shook – Obituary

Charles Roger Shook, 85, and his wife Rose Ann Shook, 82, both residents of Estacada, lost their lives in a tragic head-on collision just days before Christmas in unincorporated Clackamas County. The deadly crash happened on Tuesday, Dec. 23, along South Redland Road near South Meadow View Drive, outside Oregon City.

According to authorities, the incident occurred at approximately 4:20 p.m. and involved three vehicles. Investigators said the Shooks were traveling in a Jeep Cherokee when their vehicle collided with a Ram 2500 pickup truck driven by a 33-year-old man from Oregon City who was heading in the opposite direction. The impact happened while navigating a curve in the roadway.

A third vehicle was also damaged as a result of the crash, though officials confirmed that none of the other drivers suffered serious injuries. The Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office led the emergency response and investigation and notified the Shooks’ family members. Law enforcement officials noted that the other drivers involved have been fully cooperative as the investigation continues.
