Fatal Louisville, Kentucky car crash death of Austin Anderson – Obituary

Austin Anderson, 27, was identified as one of two people who lost their lives following a serious traffic collision near the Okolona area of Louisville on December 26. The crash happened along Preston Highway and involved multiple vehicles, including a motorcycle.

Louisville Metro Police responded to the scene just after 8 p.m. in the 10300 block of Preston Highway at Maple Spring Drive, an area near Interstate 265. Investigators determined that Anderson was riding his motorcycle northbound when a vehicle entered the roadway from Maple Spring Drive and struck him.

Police said a third vehicle, also traveling north on Preston Highway, then crashed into both the motorcycle and the first vehicle involved. Anderson was thrown from his motorcycle due to the impact and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities also confirmed that a second victim, a man in his 80s, later died at a hospital from injuries sustained in the crash. His identity has not yet been released. The investigation into the circumstances of the collision remains ongoing.
