Julio Baldez, 47, was fatally shot on Sunday morning in Far North Dallas. Officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 14000 block of Peyton Drive around 5:57 a.m. and found Baldez suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene around 6:07 a.m., according to the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Authorities identified Alberto Palacios as the suspect and took him into custody at police headquarters. Details regarding potential charges against Palacios have not been released, and the investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
