Fatal Grand Prairie murder-suicide shooting death of Soukdavanh Thidavanh – Obituary

Authorities have identified 44-year-old Soukdavanh Thidavanh as the woman killed in a murder-suicide at a Grand Prairie residence early Monday morning. Police reported that her husband also died in the incident, and the couple’s son sustained injuries.

Thidavanh was found dead inside a home on the 1600 block of Avenue B around 1:50 a.m. while officers were responding to a family violence call, according to the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office and Grand Prairie Police.

Officials said they initially arrived in the neighborhood Sunday night after a man reported that his father had shot him in the face following an attempt to intervene in a parental dispute. The son managed to reach a neighbor’s home and call 911. Upon arrival, police were unable to make contact with the suspect inside the residence.
