Fatal Clinton car crash death of Brenda Lamb Register – Obituary
Brenda Lamb Register, 68, of Sampson County, was found dead after her vehicle submerged in a swamp near Clinton on Wednesday. Register had been reported missing since Tuesday.
Troopers say she was driving a 2012 Kia Sorento on Old Warsaw Road when the car crossed the centerline, veered off the road, and entered Beaverdam Swamp, where it became fully submerged. No other passengers were in the vehicle.
Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
