Fatal Saginaw shooting death of Kendall Berrington – Obituary
Kendall Berrington, 19, a pregnant resident of Saginaw, was killed in a shooting early Wednesday morning on the city’s west side. Her family has been notified of her tragic death.
Saginaw Police report that officers responded around 1:34 a.m. to the 1400 block of Court Street, where they discovered Berrington and an adult male suffering from gunshot wounds inside the Marathon Gas Station. Berrington was pronounced dead at the scene, while the male victim was taken to a local hospital and is receiving treatment.
Detective Sergeant Oscar Lopez described the loss as devastating, particularly given that Berrington was expecting a child, and expressed the department’s commitment to a thorough investigation. No suspects have been arrested at this time, and authorities continue to investigate the incident as a homicide.
