Fatal Plattenville, Louisiana dirt bike crash death of Jamor Jones – Obituary

An 18-year-old man from Napoleonville, Jamor Jones, lost his life in a single-vehicle accident on New Year’s Eve in Assumption Parish.

Louisiana State Police reported that the crash occurred just before 6:00 p.m. on December 31 along Highway 308 near Lucky Street in Plattenville. Preliminary reports indicate Jones was riding a KTM dirt bike northbound when the bike veered off the road to the right, entered a shallow ditch, overturned, and threw him from the vehicle.

Jones was not wearing a DOT-approved helmet at the time of the incident. He suffered severe injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. Authorities have collected a standard toxicology sample for further analysis as part of the investigation.
