Noel Brandon, a 31-year-old from Seattle, Washington, was killed in a hit-and-run accident while visiting Coweta for a family funeral.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Brandon had arrived in town the night before after a more than 20-hour drive with his father to attend his uncle’s funeral. On Thursday morning, he went out for a jog as part of his ultramarathon training when he was struck near East 141st Street, just west of Highway 51.

Authorities have arrested 28-year-old Eric Rosales-Leon in connection with the crash. Rosales-Leon faces multiple charges, including second-degree murder, felony DUI, leaving the scene of an accident, and other related offenses.
