Cornelius, Oregon Man Denis Villalobos Arrested in Washington County for Attempted Kidnapping and Assault

CORNELIUS, ORE. — Denis Villalobos, a 37-year-old resident of Cornelius, was arrested in Washington County following an attempted kidnapping at a local Walmart.

According to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, Villalobos was taken into custody shortly after 8 p.m. on Sunday, December 21, near the Walmart on North Adair Street. Authorities say the incident involved Villalobos attempting to abduct a child from a stroller while armed with a knife, and the child’s father intervened, sustaining injuries during the struggle.

Villalobos was transported to the Washington County Jail and is currently facing charges of attempted kidnapping, assault, unlawful use of a weapon, and menacing related to the incident.
