Macon, Georgia Man Malik Harris Arrested in Bibb County for Fatal Gas Station Shooting

MACON, GA — Malik Harris, a 28-year-old resident of Macon, was arrested in Bibb County in connection with a fatal shooting at a local gas station.

According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, Harris was taken into custody on Thursday night at Riverbend Apartments on Mercer University Drive. Authorities say the incident occurred earlier that day at a Shell gas station in the 100 block of South Heron Street, where 27-year-old Ahmad Shahid Roberts was shot and killed.

Harris was transported to the Bibb County Jail and is currently facing a murder charge related to the gas station shooting. Investigators said Harris is also charged with murder in a separate, unrelated homicide stemming from the December 23 shooting death of 26-year-old Travon Maurice Harden at the Economy Hotel on Pio Nono Avenue.
