Raleigh, North Carolina Man Ryan Camacho Arrested in Raleigh for Murder and Felony Burglary

RALEIGH, NORTH CAROLINA — Ryan Camacho, a 36-year-old resident of Raleigh, was arrested in Raleigh in connection with a fatal home invasion that occurred Saturday morning.

According to the Raleigh Police Department, Camacho was taken into custody on Saturday after officers located him in the surrounding area following a reported break-in at a residence in the 800 block of Clay Street. Authorities say the incident occurred early Saturday morning and involved the violent assault of the homeowner.

Police said the victim, identified as Zoe Welsh, had called 911 to report an intruder inside her home. While still on the line with dispatch, the suspect attacked and beat her. Welsh was found critically injured by responding officers and was transported to a hospital, where she later died from her injuries.

Camacho was transported to a local detention facility and is currently facing charges of murder and felony burglary related to the incident.
