Fatal Fenton, New York tractor-trailer crash death of Vicky Chadwick – Obituary

Vicky Chadwick, 54, of Pennsylvania, was killed Sunday night in a tractor-trailer accident on Interstate 88 in the Town of Fenton, according to the Broome County Sheriff’s Office. The crash occurred around 11:36 p.m. near Exit 3.

Authorities reported that the westbound tractor-trailer drifted into the left lane, crossed the center median, entered the eastbound lanes, and rolled down an embankment, landing on its side. Deputies broke the windshield to extract Chadwick, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

Traffic on I-88 eastbound was restricted to one lane until early Monday morning while crews cleared spilled fuel and antifreeze. Multiple fire, EMS, and state agencies assisted at the scene. The sheriff’s office continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fatal crash.
