Fatal Temple Hills, Maryland shooting death of Ronez Proctor – Obituary
Ronez Proctor, 27, of Waldorf, Maryland, was shot and killed outside a banquet hall in Temple Hills during a deadly early-morning shooting, police said.
The incident occurred around 2:10 a.m. on January 3, when officers responded to reports of gunfire in the 4300 block of St. Barnabas Road. Investigators determined that Proctor was fatally shot outside the venue during a violent confrontation involving multiple armed individuals.
Authorities said two other men, Pierre Davis, 33, and Kevon Medley Williams, 26, both of Washington, D.C., were also killed. Preliminary findings indicate Davis and Medley Williams exchanged gunfire in the parking lot, striking each other.
Police identified 39-year-old Antonio Lancaster of the Landover area as the suspect in Proctor’s death. Investigators allege Lancaster shot at Proctor and Medley Williams before fleeing the scene. He was later located and arrested in Fairfax County, Virginia, with assistance from U.S. Marshals.
Lancaster is charged with first- and second-degree murder in connection with Proctor’s death and remains in custody pending extradition to Prince George’s County. Detectives believe the suspect and victims were acquainted and continue to investigate the motive behind the shooting.
