Fatal Fountain Inn, South Carolina motorcycle crash death of Ryan Joseph Padgett – Obituary

Ryan Joseph Padgett, 32, was one of two people killed in a motorcycle accident that occurred Saturday in Fountain Inn, according to the Laurens County Coroner’s Office.

The crash took place on Jones Road, just off Highway 418, where South Carolina Highway Patrol troopers responded to the scene. Investigators said the motorcycle was traveling southbound when it veered off the right side of the roadway.

Authorities reported that the motorcycle struck a fire hydrant before continuing into a tree. Both the operator and the passenger suffered fatal injuries as a result of the impact.

The coroner later identified the second victim as 35-year-old Justin Bradley Cathcart. Officials confirmed that both men died at the scene.

South Carolina Highway Patrol is continuing to examine the circumstances surrounding the crash.
