Fatal Oklahoma City, Oklahoma shooting death of Willie Cook – Obituary

Willie Cook, 51, was found shot to death inside a home in southeast Oklahoma City, prompting a homicide investigation and an arrest, police said.

Officers with the Oklahoma City Police Department responded shortly before 9:30 a.m. Friday to a residence in the 500 block of Helm Parkway, near Southeast 89th Street and Shields Boulevard, after receiving a report of a possible homicide. When they arrived, they discovered Cook deceased inside the home with apparent gunshot wounds.

Investigators determined that Cook and another individual were inside the residence when the suspect allegedly produced a firearm and shot him. The suspect fled the scene but was located later the same day.

Authorities said the suspect was taken into custody and booked into the Oklahoma County Detention Center on a murder complaint. The investigation into the shooting remains ongoing.
