Iredell County, North Carolina Man Craig Steven Mason Arrested in Iredell County for Shooting at Vehicle Carrying Juveniles
Iredell County, NC — Craig Steven Mason, a resident of Iredell County, was arrested in connection with a shooting that injured a teenager during a late-night prank on Sunday.
According to the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office, Mason was taken into custody after deputies responded to gunfire near a traffic stop around 11:20 p.m. Authorities say the incident involved a group of juveniles participating in a “ding-dong ditch†prank. One teen suffered a gunshot wound to the leg and was transported to Wake Forest Baptist Hospital for treatment.
Mason has been charged with felony assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, five counts of felony assault with a deadly weapon, and felony discharging a weapon into an occupied vehicle causing serious bodily injury. He is currently jailed without bond. The investigation is ongoing.
