Fatal Texas City shooting death of Luis Aguilera-Ramirez – Obituary
Luis Aguilera-Ramirez, 28, of Texas City, Texas, was killed after being shot during a deadly incident reported early Saturday morning, according to local authorities.
Texas City police officers responding to a call discovered Aguilera-Ramirez suffering from gunshot wounds in the 1100 block of 12th Avenue North. He was pronounced dead at the scene as officers secured the area and began their investigation.
Detectives with the department’s Criminal Investigations Division quickly worked to identify a suspect in the case. Police named 22-year-old Edward Arispe as the primary suspect connected to the fatal shooting.
Arispe was located and taken into custody without resistance. He has since been charged with murder and is being held at the Galveston County Jail. Authorities said his bond has been set at $500,000.
The investigation remains ongoing, and police are asking anyone who may have information related to the shooting to contact the Texas City Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division. Anonymous tips may also be provided through local crime stoppers.
