Fatal Harker Heights car crash death of Cierra Nowlin – Obituary

Cierra Nowlin, a resident of Harker Heights, died following a vehicle crash on Jan. 1. Emergency responders were dispatched after an OnStar alert signaled a crash near FM 3219 and East Veterans Memorial Boulevard.

Officers arriving at the scene found a blue 2006 Cadillac had struck a tree just off the main roadway. Medical personnel attended to both the driver and a passenger, who was unresponsive at the time. The driver was transported to Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Temple, while Nowlin was taken to Seton Hospital in Harker Heights.

Despite treatment, Nowlin later succumbed to her injuries. Authorities said the Harker Heights Police Traffic Management Unit is examining the circumstances of the crash to determine its cause.
