Gabrielle Summer Tatum was killed in a deadly incident at a home in the Eagle Lake area, where authorities say a domestic violence situation ended in a murder-suicide. Gabrielle Summer Tatum, 28, was found dead alongside Steven Junior Craft, 41, according to the Warren County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff Martin Pace said deputies were alerted to the situation after a relative of Craft contacted authorities, reporting that Craft had made threats during a phone call indicating he intended to kill Tatum and then himself. Deputies were dispatched to the residence shortly after receiving the warning.
When law enforcement arrived, deputies were forced to enter the home. Inside, they discovered both individuals suffering from gunshot wounds. Officials said the firearm involved was located near Craft.
Investigators stated that Craft had a documented history of domestic violence incidents, including previous cases involving Tatum. Based on evidence gathered at the scene, authorities believe the shooting was a murder-suicide.
The case remained under investigation as officials continued to review the circumstances surrounding the deaths. No additional details were released.
