Fatal East Peoria car crash death of Laurie Boice – Obituary

Laurie Boice, a 63-year-old woman from Washington, Illinois, was killed Friday evening after being hit by a pickup truck in East Peoria, according to the Tazewell County Coroner’s Office.

Coroner Charles Hanley confirmed that Boice was pronounced dead at the scene. Early autopsy findings determined that she died from multiple blunt force injuries consistent with being struck as a pedestrian by a motor vehicle.

Emergency responders were dispatched at approximately 5:50 p.m. to the 2300 block of Washington Road, located between Meadow Lane and Briargate Road. Officials said the incident occurred within the city limits of East Peoria.

The circumstances surrounding the crash remain under active investigation by the East Peoria Police Department, Illinois State Police, and the Tazewell County Coroner’s Office.
