Fatal Beaufort County, South Carolina car crash death of Daryle Fitzgerald – Obituary

Daryle Fitzgerald, a 56-year-old resident of Bluffton, died Saturday afternoon after suffering fatal injuries in a single-vehicle collision in Beaufort County, according to the county coroner’s office.

The crash occurred just before 1 p.m. on January 17 along Bluffton Parkway. Officials said Fitzgerald was traveling in his vehicle when it was involved in a lone-car accident that caused him to be thrown from the vehicle.

After being ejected, Fitzgerald was struck by another vehicle traveling along the roadway. He was pronounced dead at the scene due to the severity of his injuries.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is handling the investigation and is working to determine the circumstances that led to the crash and subsequent impact.
