Lola Cheeks dies in fatal Grant County, Kentucky car crash

Fatal Grant County, Kentucky car crash death of Lola Cheeks – Obituary

Lola Cheeks, 81, of Dry Ridge, Kentucky, was killed last week in a head-on collision on Taft Highway, authorities confirmed. The crash also claimed the life of 35-year-old Brandy Nash, who was riding in the other vehicle.

Kentucky State Police reported that the accident occurred around 11 a.m. on January 14. Cheeks was driving her vehicle when it crossed into the opposite lane and struck a pickup truck head-on. Both Cheeks and Nash were pronounced dead at the scene.

Two children who were in Nash’s car were transported to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center for treatment, while the driver of the pickup truck received non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital.

The circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation by the Kentucky State Police.
