Fatal Oak Park, Illinois car crash death of Mona V. Sims – Obituary

Mona V. Sims, 55, of Bellwood, Illinois, was killed early Sunday morning in a crash on the Eisenhower Expressway in Oak Park, authorities confirmed.

The Illinois State Police reported that the collision occurred around 2:53 a.m. on the westbound lanes of I-290 near Harlem Avenue. The crash involved a Jeep and a Saturn car, and Sims was ejected from her vehicle, sustaining fatal injuries.

She was pronounced dead at the scene by responding officials. A second person involved in the collision was transported to a local hospital with injuries.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Illinois State Police.
