Lisa Powell Moore, 55, of Thomastown, lost her life following a single-vehicle crash that occurred Wednesday morning in Attala County. Authorities say the wreck happened around 8:45 a.m. along Highway 19 in the Zama community.

Emergency responders found Moore critically injured at the scene. She was taken by ambulance to the Baptist Attala Emergency Department, where she later succumbed to her injuries.

Attala County Coroner Sam Bell confirmed Moore’s identity. The Mississippi Highway Patrol has taken over the investigation and is working to determine what led to the crash.
