Fatal Shreveport shooting death of Morris Edwards – Obituary
Morris Edwards, a Black man in Shreveport, was shot and killed Tuesday evening on the 1700 block of Clanton Street. Police responded to reports of gunfire around 8:30 p.m. and found Edwards lying in the road with multiple gunshot wounds.
Authorities confirmed that Edwards had been shot with a 9mm firearm and was pronounced dead at the scene. His death represents Shreveport’s second homicide of the year. The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
