Fatal Des Plaines rollover crash death of Eugene Robinson Jr. – Obituary

Eugene Robinson Jr., 69, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, was killed Wednesday afternoon in a rollover accident on I-294 near Golf Road in Des Plaines. The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed Robinson was the victim who died in the crash.

The Illinois State Police reported the collision involved two vehicles and occurred around 4:01 p.m., forcing the closure of the left three northbound lanes for the investigation. Robinson was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the crash. The driver of the second vehicle was not reported seriously injured. Traffic disruptions persisted for several hours as emergency responders and law enforcement worked at the site.
