Fatal Clark County motorcycle crash death of Ronald Shane Rudy – Obituary

Ronald Shane Rudy, a 44-year-old Las Vegas resident, was identified by the Nevada Highway Patrol as the motorcyclist who lost his life in a weekend traffic collision near Pahrump. Authorities said the crash occurred on Saturday, January 31, at approximately 3:30 p.m. along southbound State Route 160 near mile marker 15.

Investigators reported that a Ford Ranger pickup truck traveling on the highway lost control and veered onto the shoulder. During that sequence, the truck struck Rudy, who was riding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle at the time of the incident.

Emergency responders pronounced Rudy dead at the scene. Officials also confirmed that a passenger traveling with him on the motorcycle sustained injuries and was airlifted by Mercy Air to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The Nevada Highway Patrol continues to document the circumstances surrounding the crash as part of its ongoing investigation.
