Authorities have confirmed that Amy Kisner, a 21-year-old woman from Turlock, lost her life in a deadly traffic collision caused by heavy fog conditions in Merced County.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred Thursday morning on Oakdale Road near Fisher Road. Investigators said Kisner was traveling eastbound when she attempted to overtake another vehicle in limited visibility.

During the maneuver, her car entered the opposite lane and struck an oncoming Chevrolet Suburban head-on. The impact was severe, and Kisner was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Suburban, along with three children who were passengers in the vehicle, sustained injuries and were transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. Authorities continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the crash.
