Alexander St. John, 28, was killed early Saturday morning following a multi-vehicle collision on the Santa Monica (10) Freeway in West Los Angeles, authorities confirmed.

The deadly crash occurred around 1:14 a.m. on February 7 in the eastbound lanes of the freeway near Bundy Drive in the Sawtelle neighborhood. California Highway Patrol officers were dispatched to the scene after receiving reports of a serious collision involving multiple vehicles.

Emergency crews from the Los Angeles County Fire Department arrived shortly after and provided aid to those involved. Despite their efforts, Alexander St. John was pronounced dead at the scene. Officials later confirmed his identity through the Medical Examiner’s Office, though additional personal details were not released.

Investigators stated that at least two vehicles were involved, but the exact sequence of events leading up to the crash has not yet been determined. It remains unclear whether any other individuals sustained injuries.

Due to the severity of the incident, all eastbound lanes of the Santa Monica Freeway were temporarily closed under a Sigalert shortly after 1:25 a.m. Traffic was fully restored by approximately 4:30 a.m.

The California Highway Patrol continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash as the West Los Angeles community mourns the loss of Alexander St. John.
