Fatal Gaines County crash death of Alejandro Gaytan – Obituary
Authorities in Texas have confirmed that Alejandro Gaytan, 43, of Seminole, died after a collision caused by a teenage driver who ran a stop sign. The crash occurred around 11:05 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 8, at the intersection of County Roads 104 and 105, involving a 2021 Ford F-250 and a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado.
Gaytan was a passenger in the Chevrolet when the truck driven by a 17-year-old failed to stop, striking the vehicle and killing him at the scene. The Silverado’s driver, Alfredo Flores of Seminole, sustained serious injuries and was taken to University Medical Center in Lubbock. The teen driver and his 17-year-old passenger were not hurt; both were wearing seat belts, while Gaytan and Flores were not.
The Texas Department of Public Safety continues to investigate the crash.
