Stephen Stamm, a 23-year-old man from Egg Harbor, lost his life following a single-vehicle crash in the town of Sevastopol, according to information released by the Door County Sheriff’s Office on February 9. Authorities said Stamm was traveling north on State 57 at approximately 8:30 p.m. on February 6 when his vehicle left the roadway and struck a utility pole. Emergency responders arrived at the scene, but he was pronounced dead as a result of the crash.

Investigators with the sheriff’s office are continuing to examine the circumstances surrounding the incident. Officials noted that the cause of the crash has not yet been determined, and findings from Stamm’s autopsy are still pending as the investigation remains ongoing.
